Conservation Solutions Conservation solutions are solutions that focus on minimizing the use of resources and therefore minimizing impact on the environment. Reusable items can minimize plastic use, lessening plastic's impact on the environment (Fee 2017). Examples of this include reusable bottles, metal straws, or menstrual cups. By switching to renewable energy sources, we can minimize our use of harmful fossil fuels (Attenborough 2019). Participating in sustainable agricultural practices can reduce the amount of space we require for food production, leaving room for wild environments to thrive (Attenborough 2019). This includes consuming less meat. Areas with scarce water supplies are already innovating ways to conserve water and can teach us a lot.
